I woke up one morning, and then it hit me…
I have given my best friend a very special key...
This was the one and only, to my heart.
I wanted him to spend forever and for us to never part...
I decided to tell him just how I felt,
He looked away and said “sorry.” but I wasn’t in the hands he was dealt.
I bowed my head and whisked away a tear, as I turned to walk away...
I went home and to bed and hoped for the best with the start of a new day.
I felt like a fool, and I knew that I had lost my king,
He wasn’t just my best friend that boy, he was my everything...
I later found out that he loves my other best friend...
And for these emotions, my heart will never mend.
At school, I see them hugging and kissing over at her locker,
My heart stops, I’m gong to break down, this I know for sure.
I get sad, upset , hurt, alone, betrayed, lost, and mad
Then I think of all the good times we had
For one day I know, he will look back on this…
And remember our unbreakable bond, and for me he will miss.
I will be long gone by then, happy and stable
He will want me, and for his wish, it will be impossible.
When he saw me with my boyfriend, his stomach was the one who churned.
