Thanks so much!! Here's my story:
I'm such, such an idiot. I was rejoicing over an A- in Honors Chemistry on my report card. I'm in high school now, where I CARE about my grades and know they matter.
I want to keep it so bad. However, today I completely FAILED a test. I wasn't sure what it was on, I asked my teacher the day before, but he is old and he mumbled so I couldn't really understand. I thought I would figure it out when I got home, but I was completely LOST. I also had 3 other tests on to study for.
Turns out, all we had to was memorize the elements of a few columns of the periodic table. It was 30 questions. I think I got one, maybe two right, and after 5 minutes the teacher said "30 seconds" and I just started scribbling down random answers. I studied equations instead of just memorizing the stupid elements.
I sit way in the back, and my teacher was in the front. I sit behind people, so I wasn't even in his line of vision. I had a mini periodic table in my backpack, and I could have easily looked at it. Now I feel SO stupid, because I realize how easy the quiz was and how dumb it is going to look when I get the fail back. It would have been SUCH an easy quiz if I studied, because it was just memorization.
I also noticed other people with the elements written on their hand, like c-carbon, Na-sodium,etc. And now I don't want to go back on Monday because everyone else is going to get 100 and my test is going to be marked probably like 2/30, or something really embarrassing.
I don't want to fail. What should I do? Should I ask my teacher to re-take it? In this case, should I have just cheated?
I wanted to SO badly but I just couldn't bring myself to do it because ever since when I got caught once in eighth grade and my teacher ripped my test up and yelled at me in front of the entire class.
HOWEVER, now my whole weekend is ruined and my grade is going to go way DOWN. Why couldn't I have just cheated? Like seriously, I'm obsessed with grades and I want to get into a good college. I was literally rolling on the floor today afterschool and beating myself up. My whole weekend is ruined and I don't want to go back to school and see that failed quiz.
Please write back your advice on my wall if you could and thanks again! Wish there could be more people in the world like you;)

Thank you so much! Everyone on Witty is mad at me right now for something that I didn't do. I'm really glad there's people that are decent like you to realize that only a hacker would lie to all of witty and ask for faves.
