THE TEENAGE YEARS
MY EXPECTATION being tall, social and outgoing, being pretty, having a nice body, carefree nights under the stars. tons of friends and being popular. going to parties, having freedom, hot guys liking me, being fashionable. getting my first kiss. having an interesting life. being happy and just having fun.
MY REALITY flat chested, awkward, shy, not very many friends. needs to wear makeup to feel even a little pretty. not a lot of nice clothes. often sad. an ássload of homework every night. anxiety. stress. no time to myself, always tired. short. no social life. very insecure. never being good enough for any guy i like. exhausted.

People (mostly men) are always insisting that "we need a friendly feminism" and I'm kind of at a loss for what that is. I'm always like, well how do we "friendly" fight for liberation from patriachy? Why do we need to be "friends" with people who obviously don't even treat us as humans? We, as women, have always had to be friends of men. We have been forced to always be just your friend, the one who is going to support you and be by your side constantly, but not one who will ever be able to succeed on our own.
And now that we're rejecting this whole idea of being your [men's] side kick, they [men] want us to be "friendly" in our fight. They want us to coddle them, to carry them and sweetly tell them it's okay, that we're not going to hurt them in our fight for liberation. They want to know that even while we fight for our own good, that their success won't be ruined.
Well, that's not it. We are going to tread on your toes, we're going to break your heart, we're not going to fight against patriarchy "friendly" — or nicely, or sweetly.
We're going to do it in the most shocking way possible in order for us to finally be seen as wholes.

So I threw the phone at the wall thus breaking it
Skipped school for a week
The first 6 days I spent doing things that was on my bucketlist
The last day I spent curled in my room, scared to death.
I honestly thought I was going to die..
She did the same thing with One Missed Call...
Except she instead used one of those number changing systems
To change it to the number of a friend of mine that died a few days before
I wouldn't go outside for a good two weeks...
We stopped getting phones after that...
