Sorry if I sounded rude ): It's just that girls don't really realize that although some guys are , most of us are nice people, but we don't get the chances. In fact, that's why some guys because the intense a**holes that you probably know. I always used to be so nice to everyone, and was open with people, and everyone came to me for advice. And then I got rejected time after time. Not even just with relationships. But like everything. People didn't want anything more than my words. And so I shut everyone out. It's how it happens.

My one friend once put it nicely;
"A Nice guy meets b*tch. The turns the nice guy into an a**hole. The a**hole meets a nice girl. And the a**hole turns the nice girl into a b*tch." Pretty accurate.
