Actually, the rule is that you use a before words that start with a consonant sound and an before words that start with a vowel sound. Many people have been taught that you put a before words that start with consonants and an before words that start with vowels. This, however, is false. This would make it a unicorn, but an umbrella. Also, their is an apostrophe in the word that's, as it translates to that is. :o)
