well yeah.. Ive known him for about 6 years.. hes my best guy friend.
we have lockers right next to each other
and on the 2nd day of school.. he asked me for my combo. and said: "Dont worry, i wont steal anything, just wanna open it for you! :)" we ended up exchanging combos...
He's also invited me to his house before.. like: "You should come to our house to celebrate the holidays! Lets ask!"

Well he seems to have interest, just have a conversation with him, explaining your feelings. Say you don't want this to be awkward if he doesn't feel the same, but from what you just described he does have feelings for you more than just a friend. Just tell him and ask for his opinion on the situation.
