**okay, so this something i randomly thought of the other day and I'm making it into a story..idk what I'm doing with it yet but please read:)

It's another dreary day here in miserable Mahogany. I mean, it's not so bad. Okay,I totally just contradicted myself. But hey, do indy hipster girls ever make any sense to the preps that are deemed "normal" here in misery, oh I mean MAHOGANY? People, we all know the answer to that obvious question....NO.
If you really think about it, is anyone in this gigantic world normal? We all have habits that cannot be broken. Lyrical genius and my future husband, Tyler Glenn, from the amazing alt. band, Neon Trees, would definitely agree. Just look at their first LP, "Habits". It's in the damn title!
ANYWAY, I'm commuting to a nearby college come September. That should be somewhat of an interesting adventure... I'm just glad to be out of Mahogany High. It may sound overly cliche/corny, but I've evolved into a different person as my high school years progressed; especially during my senior year. I've become stronger both physically and mentally, along with more maturity.
In other words, I am soo ready to begin college and meet new people. But for now, however, I am basking in the wonderful glory that is summer! I acquired a decent paying job at, Bahama's,the music store in the dismal Mahogany mall. (And when I say "decent", I mean above minimum wage by a dollar!:p)
It's actually a nice job from what I've seen so far... My managers are pretty chill and I get to listen to eccentrically cool indie music all day. (What indie/alt. music isn't cool?:))
Besides my job,of course, I'm a writer. I write my thoughts, ventures, ideas,and whatever else comes to mind in this journal everyday. Along with writing in my journal, I like to write poetry, stories, and songs sometimes; which brings me to my band.
I'm the lead singer in an all-female indie band that my best friends and I enjoy doing in our spare time. We call ourselves, Driven Insane, because we'll drive you to your grave as a result of our insane "skills". Ha,ha.
To be perfectly honest, we suck major bananas! And we're totally aware of that fact, as well. The only "gigs" we get are at our local haunt, "Chesire's".
"Chesire's" is a dainty,hole-in-the-wall type of a coffeehouse located in the center of Mahogany. It's a trippy,whimsical place to chill with your best amigas or even solo. That's why me, Anna, Skye, and Heidi are totally into it. "Chesire's" is also "Alice In Wonderland"-themed and it's where all the rad hipsters from all over come to do what they do: anything.
Ugh, but I have to depart from you for now, Journal. Anna, Skye, and Heidi are here for band practice in the garage. Peace out!
