Chapter 7
Maggie’s P.O.V.
Ahh, thank god today was Thursday, only one more day until Jake's out of this school and I'm off to wherever I'm going this summer, I hope it's Fuji. I ran into my room and found the perfect second to last day of school outfit, http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=32089070. I got into Sara's car with Jen already there. The three of us have become best friends. They loved my outfit and said that Jake's going to be like crying when he sees me. I just rolled my eyes and laughed at them. The first part of the day went by fast without issues. No homework and loving it!! I walked into the science with Mr. Report, the only class I have with Jake, I'm in honors and he's in regulars so the class is combined because we're learning the same thing. And of coarse, he's my lab partner. I walked in and sat down. He looked over and smile, I just rolled my eyes and looked down. He should feel rejected! He deserved it! "Okay class, I know that it's the second to last day of classes, and I'm sure none of the other teachers have given you homework. But I want one more thing from you. I want a 3-page essay on what you learned thought out the year. And I want it done with your lab partner." Mr. Report said. The whole class groaned and begged him to take back the project. "No no, I've made up my mind. You're doing this!" and the bell rang. I walked out of class and headed for Sara's car. Jake chased after me, "wait Maggie! We need to talked about the project!" he called. I turned around and said "Fine, come to my house at 6 and we'll be done by 8. K?" "Awesome!" he said back and I walked away.
6:00pm
I heard a knock on the door and went to open it. Jake was standing out there. "Hey" he said. "Hi. Lets get this project done okay?" I quickly said and walked upstairs into my room. We both sat down on my bed and started the project. But I couldn't concentrate on what I learned with Jake sitting less than 2 inches away from me. I was so used to whenever he can over we'd hookup, but clearly not anymore. He's a jerk and a cheat clearly! But he kept naming topics so I wrote down what I remembered. We finished the essay by 7 and he wasn't getting picked up till 8. So it was an awkward silence for a while. We just started at each other. But then he leaned in…what was he doing? But I let him. He kissed me, and then we started hooking up. I was screaming to myself Maggie, what the hell are you doing?!?! Stop it! Push him away! But I didn’t want to. I loved him, even if he did cheat on me. But eventually I pushed him away. “Jake what are you doing?” I asked. “Kissing you,” he responded easily. “Well we’re broken up Jake, and I think it should stay that way. Your better leave.” I said. He nodded and walked out. I can’t let him back into my life. Its over between us! End of story, right?
