    Dear guy,
I let your words fool me yet again. I let my guard down, opened up to you, and let you in. I was so wrong for that. Guys played with me for a little while like I was a doll, and then put me down when a better one came around, and you said you would never do that. Guess what? That's exactly what you did. You knew how hurt I was, and for once I thought I found a guy who was different. Boy, was I wrong. I've had plenty of people tell me not to even bother with you, but I did anyway because whenever we talked we couldn't get enough of each other. The way our eyes met in the halls made me feel this was really real. You were everything you said you wouldn't be. I should've known. And then you have the nerve to message me and tell me that you're talking to another girl and how she's leading you on? Well I guess you get what you give out. And THEN you tell me you're sorry, and that I probably don't care anymore. No, it's not that I didn't care, I guess I just cared to much. You came to me when you needed someone to talk to, and I was there for you every time. Why? Because I cared, I really cared. I didn't mind at all, I loved the fact that I could be there for you, I wanted you to feel like you had someone. Even though everyone I talked to told me to just stop talking to you, I didn't. Wanna know why? Behind that tough guy act you put up, I knew that there is a really sweet guy there. How do I know that? I've seen him. Where is he now?

And I have the worst nightmares...
I used to live the typical happy life until my uncle went missing... I had to look in ponds, rivers, ditches, etc and I stopped and left it to the police because I couldn't even imagine finding him that way. I'm in no way trying to gain sympathy, I just hurt inside.. terribly.

    Chapter 25:
"I'm so ready to shop until I can't shop no more!" I yelled in the car to my mom, Austin's mom, and Austin. Everyone else stayed at the cabin, because they weren't up to a shopping trip with us girls. I'm pretty sure Austin wouldn't have gone if I didn't.
"Austin, I'm suprised that you came with us, shopping isn't usually your thing, especially with us girls." Austin's mom said curiously.
"Well it's better than just sitting back at the cabin, and probably getting bored." He replied quickly in hopes that his mom would buy it, even though she could tell plain as day that he came to be with me.
"Oh, well that's true. Just hope your ready for some hardcore shopping." She giggled.
"Yeah... ready." He said unsure. I looked over at him and shot him a smile letting him know we would have a good time. Once we got out of the car, and finally started walking around I could see him having a good time.
"Tired yet?" I asked him laughing.
"Actually, no, I'm having a lot of fun so far." He warmed up to the feeling. We walked into this store, and saw nerd looking sunglasses in red and turquoise. He picked up the red pair, and I grabbed the other. We looked at eachother and laughed so hard that our mom's came over to us and began laughing along with us. Austin's mom pulled out her phone, we flashed a funny face, and she took a picture of us.
We both got the matching glasses, and wore them around shopping. It was so cute. As we were walking around, I heard my mom's phone ring.
"Oh no... is he okay?" She asked whoever she was talking to. I began to wonder, and Austin could see the curiousity in my eyes.
"Do you think it's that bad? My mom questioned. "Alright, then I guess we'll come back now, be there in a little." She hung up the phone.
"Is everything okay?" I asked concerned.
"Your brother hurt his leg." She said.
"Is he okay? Let's head back." Austin's mom said quickly.
"I don't think it's anything too major, but he's probably gonna to have to go get x-rays." My mom responded, a bit nervously.
"Well since I know you guys were really looking forward to shopping, why don't we just go bring him to the hospital, and we can pick you guys up later? You guys will end up staying bored at the cabin anyway." Austin's mom asked us both.
"Well.. you guys will call me as soon as you figure out anything, right?" I asked.
"Of course honey, I'll call or text you." She said reassuringly.
"Okay." I said feeling better. My mom and Austin's mom walked back to the car and left as soon as they could.
"So.. what now?" Austin asked me.
"Let's go to that t-shirt store." I pointed to a little corner store plastered with t-shirts.
"Alright." He smiled and intertwined his fingers with me, as we walked the streets of a beautiful town surrounded by mountains.

    Dear readers,
I would like to apologize for not posting in a while. I have been having some crazy stuff going on, so I haven't been able to get on as often as I would have liked to. I rescently got home from a week trip in Tennesee, and while I was there, I was with family I don't get to see often, and then my brother broke his leg while we were there, and has been in the hospital, so it's been crazy. I would love to thank you all for reading, and for your feedback. It means the world to me! <3

    Chapter 25:
I woke next to him, already awake, smiling at me. I couldn't help but see the kid coming out of him in his smile.
"Why didn't you wake me up?" I asked running my fingers through his soft, subtle curls.
"I love watching you sleep, you're so beautiful." He replied pulling me closer.
"Awh, thank you." I said feeling myself blushing like crazy.
We both got up after cuddling for a while, and went downstairs for breakfast. Everyone in the room could sense that we really had something going on. Austin's mom couldn't get enough of us. I really couldn't get the fact that just us being together made her that much happier. After getting his food, he sat down next to me, and we both smiled at each other. Austin's brother gave him "The Look." Like the look that best friend's give each other when their with their crush.
"Well what's going on today?" I asked, waiting for an adult to reply.
"Shopping!" Austin's mom and my mom replied excitedly.
"Well alrighty then!" I said happily running upstairs to get ready for a long day of shopping ahead. I decided to wear this really cute outfit, and curl my hair. I put on my favorite pair of Toms, and met Austin downstairs at the door.
"Ready?" Austin's mom asked as she grabbed her purse off the counter.
    "Yup!" I replied to her.

"We're home!" My little sister screamed, as she bursted open the front door. Austin and I just stayed in the moment for a few more seconds, and then he removed his soft lips from my forehead.
"Hey, where are you guys?" Austin's mom asked as she screamed up the steps looking for us.
"We're up here!" We both yelled back as we broke out of our trance.
"You guys wanna come watch a movie with all of us in the movie room?" My mom asked. We both looked at each other like we'd rather just stay upstairs together.
"Uh, yeah!" I replied looking at Austin for a sign of approval.
"Lets just go watch a movie or whatever, and then we can come back up here, and talk." I whispered to him, and grabbed his hand.
"Sounds good to me." He smiled, and we went to the movie room.
"Sit with me?" He asked. I sat next to him, and held his hand tightly. Austin's mom and mine looked at us and smiled.
"Glad to see you two are getting along." Austin's mom said smiling, as we came out of the movie room, and Austin had his arm around me. We both smiled at her, and went upstairs. We stood there for a second not knowing what to do or say.
"Wanna come watch some tv or a movie with me in my room? I'm not really seeing the point in texting from across the hall anymore..." I laughed.
"Okay, and I know right?" He followed me into my room. I have to admit, it's a bit awkward considering that it's two people who like each other laying in the same bed, but whatever. He laid in bed, and I messed with the dvd player.
Once I was done, I crawled into his arms, and we cuddled. I was really into what was on tv, and once I looked up, he was dead asleep. He is so cute when he's sleeping. The way we both laid there was so cute, he had his arms around me, and I laid my head on his chest.

    Chapter 23:
    Jess' Point Of View:
I shut the door to my room so quickly. I can't believe he just saw me like that. I didn't even know he was home. I wonder if he heard me in the shower. I sat against the door, and wished I could talk to him.
    Austin's Point Of View:
I sat against the outside of her door, and wished she would just listen. I felt her lean against the door. We both sat there in silence for a while.
"Can we talk?" I asked silently. "I have some some explaining to do..."
    Jess' Point Of View:
"Yeah, hold on." I walked over to the mirror fixed myself up, and then opened the door. We stood there in silence for a few seconds, and then he pulled me into him. The way he hugged me wasn't like any other hug we shared before.
"I'm sorry." He gently whispered in my ear so close that his lips brushed against it.
"But why?" I asked feeling broken still.
"Jess, I really didn't mean that. It's just that I felt like everytime I got the oppertunity to tell you how I felt, something happened, so I was starting to think it wasn't meant to be..." He said still holding me.
"Well how do you feel?" I asked looking into his eyes.
"Jess, I love you. I've loved you since the day you kissed me under the mistletoe, and ran away. I've loved you since we stayed outside for hours, and would never go in because we never got sick of each other. I've always loved you, and I always will." He rested his forehead against mine.
"I love you too." I said with such emotion, as he gently kissed my forehead.

    Chapter 22:
Once we got back to the cabin, everyone wanted to go to the pool, but I decided not to go, and got in the shower. I turned on the shower, and I let the water wash away my tears. No one was home, so I let my sobs run wild.
"Why did you let him break your heart like that?" I screamed at myself, while working the shampoo through my hair. "He's just another stupid boy!" I screamed to myself, and threw the shampoo bottle so hard that it broke open. I fell to the ground crying as the memories of us ran through my head.
    Austin's Point Of View:
I laid in my bed flipping through the channels, looking for absoultely nothing. Why did she have to only hear that part of the conversation? If I knew she was there I would've never said that.
I heard a loud noise coming from her room, and began to worry about her. I quickly jumped out of bed to check on her. I really did love her, and it made me sick that things happened this way.
Just as I was about to knock on her door, she came out in a towel, and was startled to see me. I could tell that she had been crying, and that killed me inside. She quickly went back in her room, and slammed the door. I sat outside of her room waiting for her to come back out so we could make things right.

    "What's wrong?" Austin asked.
"Nothing..." I crossed my arms, and stared out at the mountains.
"Well then why are you acting like this?" He questioned.
"Why did you play me this whole time?" I fought back the tears as I looked away from him.
"What do you mean?" He nearly jumped out of his seat, I can't believe he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about.
"I heard you! I felt bad for leaving you last night, so I went down to the movie room, and I over heard you talking to your brother about how you didn't like me." All of my anger that had built up in me started to erupt out. "And that really hurt me Austin, because I really liked you." I felt a tear stream down cheek.
"You did? Jess... I..." He stuttered. I burried my face in my hands, and started to cry. I felt his fingers grab a hold of my chin, and pull my face close to his. I wanted to fight his touch, but I couldn't.
Suddenly I felt a hand graze my shoulder, and it was Austin's mom.
"Are you okay hun?" She noticed us fighting.
"It's nothing." I got up, and walked away. I could hear his mom yelling at him as I stormed to my car. I was still really angry with him, but a little part of me wanted him to chase after me again...

    Chapter 20:
I wiped all the mascara off my face, went downstairs, and didn't even look at him. I sat across the table from him, and I could see him staring at me confused, from the corner of my eye. I looked up at him for a second, and looked back down. He was just about to walk over to me, but I got up from the table, threw out my plate, and went up the stairs.
"I'm about to show you just how missin' me feels, in my red high heels!" I sang out and got ready. Country music always has some good music that makes me feel so much better. I put on a dress that looked unlike anything I would wear, and couldn't pick out what accessories to wear with it or shoes. I looked over at a pair of red heels I had , but never wore because I felt like they were too bold for me. I smiled to myself and slid them on.
I opened my door, and heard everyone downstairs. I'm gonna walk down there with confidence, and show Austin what he's missing. I walked down slowly, and everyone turned, and glued their eyes on me. Austin's jaw dropped, and I looked past him, and put the biggest, most confident smile on.
"Jess, you look stunning..." Austin said in awe.
"Thanks." I said emotionlessly, and walked past him. I looked at him for a second, and he looked so good dressed up... but I can't let him take the best of me.
Austin watched me, and couldn't keep his eyes off of me. Not much later, we got in our cars, and headed to where we were gonna take pictures.
It was a beautiful lookout to the mountains. We all got out of the car, and he stood next to me. At this point, he could sense my anger.
"Are you okay, Jess?" He asked.
"I'm fine." I replied with a bit of anger in my voice, and I turned my back toward him. We all took a million pictures.
"Why don't you and Austin take some pictures together?" Austin's mom asked smiling at both of us. We both looked at each other for a second, and he waited for my reply.
"Alright." I replied. We stood a little bit apart from each other.
"Come on, get closer guys. You act like you hate each other." Austin's mom pushed us closer. Austin put his arm around me, and we both looked at each other for a second, and he could sense I was hurting. We smiled for pictures, and then he pulled me to the side, and we sat on a bench.

Who am I trying to kid? I love her. Why did I even bother lying to him, obviously he knows I love her.
"The way you guys have been, it really does seem to me that you like her, but whatever dude." My brother said.
"Well.. I do, it's just.. everytime time I get the oppertunity with her, something happens. So maybe it's just not meant to be..." I said, unsure of what to do.
"Dude, you gotta make your move quick!" My brother raged.
"What do I do?" I asked.
    "Kiss her." He said quickly.
"I was about to when you came in earlier! It's not as easy as it looks." I insisted.
"You'll find the right moment. Do it tomorrow, were getting dressed up, and taking pictures in front of the mountains. It will be the perfect moment." He picked up the remote, adnd flipped through the channels.
"I'll do it." I said, feeling confident.
    Jess' Point Of View:
Why did he act like he liked me all this time? I thought to myself, put on a sad song, and cried. I really just don't get any of this. I can't wait until tomorrow, I'm going to get dressed up, look so good, and he's gonna regret not liking me. I laid there, and wondered why he pretty much just played me this whole time...

Once we got back to the cabin, it was almost time for dinner. I went to my room, and went out on my deck. Austin came out from his room on to the deck as well, and sat next to me.
I could feel the awkwardness between us.
"Jess, I'm sorry about my mom." He said to me as he moved a little closer.
"No, it's okay." I said smiling at him.
"What exactly did she say to you?" He asked.
    "Quite a bit." I laughed a little.
"Let me guess, she told you about how cute we were as kids?" He asked.
"How did you know?" I questioned him.
"Ever since we stopped talking for a while, she asked me about you all the time. She kept telling me how we should talk again. As much as she said it, I wanted to. Once I saw you at the carnival, and we got each other numbers, I was so happy. I just always felt like you moved on, and didn't want to talk to me." He looked out at the miles and miles of mountains, then glued his eyes on me.
I sat there in awe for a few seconds before I could say anything.
"Austin, you don't know how much I wanted to talk to you. I missed you all the time. When you hugged me at the carnival, and I saw your smile I felt like kids again. Everything I did, it reminded me of you." I looked at him just wanting him to hold me tight.
"Dinner!" Austin's brother busted the porch door open and screamed as he ran back in to play with my sister.
"Well I guess we should go in.." I said walking toward the door. He followed behind me and we went downstairs for dinner.
After dinner, I just went and took a shower, and laid in bed.

    Chapter 17; Part two:
I got up from the table, and went straight out the front door. I sat on the porch trying to comprehend everything. The guys were still in the shed, so I figured that it would be the perfect time to go for a walk. Uncle Bill had a lot of farm land, so I just walked a little path to a meadow. I kicked off my heels, and walked through the path to the meadow. It was so peaceful. There were cows and deer all over.
I saw something across the meadow, and couldn't figure out what it was. I was debating on whether to go over to it. What if it's a bear? I walk a bit closer to get a better view to see if I can make out what it is. It's the most beautiful baby horse I've ever seen. It was white with brown spots. I don't know if I should approach it or not since it's a stray. I'm feeling a little risky, but I do it anyway.
As I get over to it I try not to startle it, but it seems fine. I got close enough to pet it, so I did. It was such a sweet horse. The moment was so serene that it completely made me so calm. The baby horse loved the attention.
"Where's your mommy?" I whisper to the horse, petting it softly. I dropped my heels in the meadow beside me, and gave the horse my full attention. This would be a moment that I'll never forget. I turned around to see the guys approaching me. Uncle Bill had a stunned look on his face.
"Ya know Jess, that horse has been coming around here for months, but everytime I try to get her, she would run away." Uncle Bill said as he pet the horse on the head.
"Really? She's so precious." I replied kissing the horse on the nose genty, and she sneezed.
    "Bless you beautiful." I giggled.
"I'm gonna go grab a reigns and a saddle so I can put her in my stable." He left with all the guys, but Austin stayed with me.
"How did you get her to come up to you?" He wondered.
"I don't really know, I went up to her, and she just stayed there. It's like she craved the attention." I said petting her.
"Here we go!" Uncle Bill closed the stable door with the horse in it.
"What should we name her? He asked me.
"Dalia because it means gentle." I responded.
    "I like it!" He said.
I walked over to Austin, and we went inside. His mom looked at both of us and smiled. I smiled back, and he looked at us both with a confused looked.
"Girl talk Austin, you wouldn't get it." She giggled. I laughed a little and looked down at the floor because I didn't really wanna see the expression on his face. We all sat down at the table, had lunch, and laughed.
"So Jess, Austin's mom was telling me how you guys were really close as kids? She told me how she thought you guys would fall in love again like you guys did as kids." Everyone laughed and could feel myself blushing, and I could see Austin's face turn bright red.
"Really mom?" Austin said trying to catch the expression on my face.

"Uncle Bill!" I screamed as I jumped into the arms of my uncle, then hugged my aunt. That car ride was bad... riding up a moutain and through the woods was crazy!
"Hey darling, we've missed you all so much!" My uncle Bill said while hugging everyone, and we introduced them to Austin's family. Before I knew it, all the guys went to go look at uncle Bill's shed and all the girls went inside and talked. I sat at the table wonder how Austin was doing, so I picked up my phone to text him, and of course I had no service. I began talking to Austin's mom and we got along so well, like we did when I was a kid.
"Remember when you and Austin would stay outside for hours and would refuse to come in?" She laughed. The memories were so sweet as they retraced my mind.
"Yeah, we never got bored, we always had something to do, whether it was going in the woods, playing football, or playing tag. We had some really great times I'll never forget." I said picking up my drink.
"You know all the adults including myself and your parents swore that you guys would fall in love some day." She sipped her tea and stared at me.
"Oh, uhm, you did?" I said after choking on my drink.
"Yeah, it was the cutest thing when you guys kissed under the mistletoe and then you took off running and he chased you." She said smiling so big. He chased me at the pool just as he did when we were kids.
"Yeah, we were best friends when we were kids." I said thinking about him so much that I just to go outside right now and kiss him.
"You guys were so cute together, and you still are." She said hinting at the fact that she wants us together.
"It was the cutest thing watching you guys chase each other at the pool yesterday. It's like you guys were kids again. I couldn't get enough of it. I've never seen you both so happy." She added making the feeling of me wanting to go kiss him even worse.

I woke up feeling so good that it felt unreal. I went in the bathroom, fixed my hair a little, and went to the kitchen. When I got down there, there was no sign of Austin. Well, he's probably still sleeping. I threw some eggs on my plate that my dad, and Austin's dad made. Well their all bonding well.. my dad and Austin's dad could not stop talking about work, my mom and Austin's mom talk about.. well.. everything, my older brother and Austin's older brother have been hanging out the whole time, and my younger sister, and Austin's younger brother were doing whatever little kid's do these days. Slowly, Austin crept down the steps, grabbed some food, and sat next to me. I felt so bad, he looked so tired. He looked up at me, and we both smiled at each other as if we had been holding in a secret from the world.
    "Jess?" My dad called.
    "Yeah?" I questioned.
"I think were gonna go visit uncle Bill and aunt Cathy today." He stated.
"Okay." I replied, happy to go see some family, but sad because Austin's family was probably gonna go do something else.
"You guys don't have to come, or you guys can if you want, it's whatever you guys wanna do." My dad said to Austin's dad as Austin and I looked up from our plates at our parents. Austin's dad looked at the rest of his family for a sign of approval.
"We'll go." He said smiling. "It should be fun." He added.
"Well looks like you're gonna meet my wacky family today..." I said seriously.
"I don't mind." He said smiling, and shoving food in his mouth.
"Well I guess I'll go get ready." I got up from the table, and walked toward the stairs.
I could not figure out what to wear. Eventually, I found the perfect outfit. It's so cute! After getting ready, I opened my door, and there was Austin, standing in front of his door talking to his brother. He turned his head, noticed me, and smiled. I smiled back, and walked to the steps, and began to walk down them slowly with my heels on.
