i dont know if you still need help with this problem but i am dating this guy and that same exact thing happeened to me and him, but then i just talked to him in person and i asked him why he was barely talking to me and he said because he was nervous, so maybe your boyfriend is just nervous around you but in time he will get more and more comfortable around you(:
