have you considered that maybe i am not pleasant?
maybe i wear lipstick so that
you will see my pretty pink mouth
wrapping around a coffee cup lid
and be distracted enough not to notice
that i am intelligent and powerful;
a threat.

so you will look at my unimpressed skepticism

A month without so much as five words said
I suppose to him I might as well be dead.
I miss his quirky little ways
and how he could go on teasing me for days.
But I don't think he'll know it
cause I won't grace him by showing sh/t.
He meant so much to me
but I've adjusted to being "free".
My life has turned upside down
(as do my lips now whenever you're around)
but I think I'll be okay
thought I've been left alone today.
Every time I see his face
I feel such disgrace;
