First of all, I’m not going to pretend. I want you to stay with me and protect me and even keep me together. But
I don’t want to stay in the way of your dreams. I don’t want to hold you back, and I don’t want you to do some-
thing you’ll regret everyday of the future. So I’m just going to ask this; I want you to remember this, remember
me. I want you to remember how you made me feel. Maybe you weren’t meant to permanently stay in my life
but were meant to stay long enough to teach me a lesson. I’m strong enough now; I might not act like it, but the
truth is, I don’t need you to hold my hand anymore. Like I said, I won’t pretend that I don’t want you to. But I’m
a smart girl. I can get through this goodbye. So this is it. Thank you for everything you’ve done, and good luck to
everything you will be for someone else in the future.

if it was wrong.” but he let her down like all the other guys in her life, starting with her father,
moving along to her countless boyfriends and guyfriends, from her stepfathers and mother’s
boyfriends, all the way down to him, that jerk. she was going to lie and sneak around behind
everyone’s back because she thought she finally had something. sort of like romeo and juliet,
maybe. but she had been let down again and it was killing her inside. and each time this
happened, a little piece of her broke. while it made her stronger, she was broken inside, looking
for that one boy that could give her a new look on life. but we all do stupid things for love,
even the seemingly perfect girls. so she collapsed into her bestfriends arms who whispered that
it would be okay, and that she forgave her for the lying she had done, and that sometimes,
the strongest and happiest of people didn’t need boys; they just needed friends.

yeah, i kinda panic when ;
you ask me what the math homework was and i am absolutely and
completely [ s p e e c h l e s s ] because your eyes are just so darn
gorgeous. i also panic when i get a text from you, especially late at
night because its so unexpected though i wish for it everytime i see
11:11. then there are those times when you wave and i don't know
if you're waving at me or your [ g i r l f r i e n d ], so then i immediately
start to panic and wonder if i should wave back. i also panic when
you talk to my bestfriend and not me, even though i am usually not
the jealous type, which scares me. oh, then there are those times
when you're hanging with your friends and i panic when you look
straight at me and laugh, but in a good way and i [ d o n ' t ] have a
clue what any of it means. so, yeah, i guess i do panic a lot. but it's
kinda a good panic. is that possible? the kinda panic that bubbles
in your stomach, making it feel all light and hopeful. it's a panic
that gives you a taste at the thrill of love. and, boy, i kinda love it
[ a l m o s t ] as much as i love your eyes and late-night texts. <3<3

she fell asleep that night ;
curled up on her bed, alone. her sheets are kicked everywhere; there are
tissues strewn across the floor. clutched to her chest is a book, the notebook
to the exact. dove chocolate wrappers decorate her bedspread & her phone
is off near the bottom of her bed. she’s wearing her favorite pj’s, the fuzzy
warm ones decorated with sheep. her hair is a mess and her mascara is
almost clean off her face by now. she’s dreaming. she’s dreaming that she

you know it; i know it; everyone knows it. not like a
murderer or a kidnapper or something like that. no, i
mean we have that [ type of danger ] that comes from
love. see, if we're separated, we'll do anything we can
to be back together. we'd do anything. we're dangerous
because we won't let anything get in the way of seeing,
