ive been in the samee situation. you just need to talk to him about and tell him you dont want it to be awkward between the two of you. i told this guy who was like my best friend that i like him and made it clear that i didnt want it to effect our friendship and he said it wouldnt be weird. but he could be shy too. but just tell him that you dont want it to be awkward when you are talking face-to-face. hope it goes welll!!
