that's crazy! you guys must be really good! we've only ever competed against other marching bands. two years ago we got "best guard" at three out of four festivals. last year we got it at one, despite our terrible field show. haha. but congrats, because second out of twenty-seven is really, really good. :D reply

we have both a color guard (summer/fall) and winter guard (winter/spring), but the latter is mainly to keep in shape and stuff for the former. haha. marching band in the fall is our main thing, though.

haha, thanks. color guard is a lot harder than people think. i'm in my fourth year and i'm captain. we honestly do work just as hard as the cheerleaders; the band too (like you said, those bells are heavy!). i don't think anyone realizes how hard either of the two really are. i'm glad someone understands. :) reply

haha, thanks. that's really how i feel though. we put in just as much effort and work as cheerleaders (if not more) but we get even less credit. go figure. guard is hard too. i'd like to see anyone who thinks it's easy give it a shot.
rifle and sabre are really great. air blade too. weapons are fun. :) i prefer sabre to rifle because i'm better at it, but we're using rifles this year. :) haha. and high five for epic dorkiness! :D reply
