Every one gets nervous around opposite in the begin. it is a good sign it means you are scared of messing things up. just start hanging out with him with your friends and the will make the awkwardness go down a little. just when you are with your friends and him make sure you are your self. when talking to him try making jokes and trying to get to know and talk about things he likes.
