Well, Matt, i'd have to say;
Having a friend of the same , you're more likely to talk to them about that gender type issues. Such as; a girl might talk to her girl friend about a guy, her period issues, stuff that most guys DO NOT want to hear about. C; Plus, there's not usually pressure, or questions like "Are you two dating??"
Having a friend of the opposite can give you some good insight. It's also good to have some experience with that gender. Hanging out with the opposite . Diversity is always good to have in your life.
I have quite a few guys that are friends and they're like brothers to me. They're willing to kick the out of somebody that hurts me. My girls would comfort me. The guys; "Aw are you okay? Where is he?! I'll kick his !" and my girls; "Aww, need a hug? Everything's gonna be alright Sweetie." Sometimes you need that kind of thing. You know? Good luck with the homework! reply

it isn't that different except that you talk about different things like some things i would talk about with my girl friends but not with my guy friends..you also do different things..you wouldn't sit down and watch a chick flick with your guy friend.. But those are the two main things that make it different reply
