Secrets in the dark
I had just walked inside the house after my jog around the island.
Early mornings in Hawaii were probably the best thing in the world.
As a stepped into the kitchen, a sharp blast of cold air hit my face making me shiver. "DAD?! are you home?" i shouted up the stairs.
The only sound in the house was my sneakers squeaking on the floor.
I turned around and saw that the freezer door hung open and freezing
cold air was spilling into the already air conditioned house.
I quickly closed it and found a note taped to the desk in
the corner of the room. "Vannessa, i've gone out to get your sister at
hula lessons. Pick up your room." I turned on my heel letting out a groan.
My room was totally trashed after trying to find my favorite jogging tee. I threw on my faded demin shorts and my lime green tank with sandals. I glanced out the window just in time to catch greyson, the boy next door climbing up the stairs to my front door. In record time, i flew down the stairs and opened the door just in time to look into his deep ocean blue eyes. "hey vanessa um..I was just wondering if you wanted to go surfing with me later on.."
I took in a sharp breathe. I had had a crush on this kid for as long as i could remember, and this offer was beyond amazing to me.
"sure" i managed to get out "why not?"
he grinned widely at me and turned to walk towards his house.
