agree with hleighxox and also find out what he likes guys really like it when a girl knows a bit about what they like and are able to talk about it (not in a stalkerish way though, just basic bits and pieces) gives you something to start a conversation with! Oh and don't show you 'like' him like that straight away, it might scare him off or make him feel a little pressured to either say yes or no to you. Just let it be natural.
