Chapter 9-
“Oh God I can’t go to school today” Ami mumbled as she throw up in the toilet. “Are you sick or something?” I asked from my room. “No, my temperature’s fine I just feel really lightheaded and my diet is good though I feel really hungry right now” she sighs and rested her head n the wall.
“Huh, well just stay home for the day which means no party” I said. She groan, “Fine, usually I would disagree but I’m really not feeling well” She got up and walked to her room. As soon as I was about to get out of the door my cell phone vibrated.
A message? I flipped my phone open and it was a massage from Jacob. ‘Mom inviting you and your mom for dinner tonight at my house by 7, how about it?’ I chuckle; I haven’t been to his house for a while.
“Oh, morning Vee” My mom yawned coming out of her room. “Morning got a text from Jacob, Nikki (Jacob’s mom) is inviting us for dinner tonight at 7, you wanna go?” I asked.
“A dinner? Oh yes! She told me yesterday about it! I would love to go!” she smiled at me. “I assume you already discuss this before me, huh. Well alright” I texted Jacob, ‘Alright.’
“I’m just worried about Ami, poor girl been getting random mood swings” Mom sighs as I opened the front door. “Relax, well see you after school.”

“So Jacob invited over for dinner?” Kelly asked as she put on her lipstick. “Yeah my mom is going also. And the weirdest thing Ami heard us but didn’t say anything about it” I thought out loud.
“Stop getting paranoid, relax. Hey speaking of the devil, hey Jacob” Kelly waved. Jacob waved back and turned back to his friends and told them something. “Man I can’t believe your ditching us for the sweetheart” one of them choked and hit his back. He laughed as they ran off.
“Sorry about that, so we still cool about tonight?” I nodded. “Oh, something I should know. You guys going on a date?” I turned to see Aden. Aden was my second best guy friend since 4th grade; it was shocking how he got to this high school despite his bad grades.
One more things, he has a crush on me and he’s not afraid to say it. “Aw, my girl friend’s cheating already on me?” he teased. “Shut up Aden, I told you I don’t like you!” I said.
“That’s what I like about you hard to get. I’m going to make you my woman one day” he said (rather too proudly). “He makes you look like a prize” Locke whispered to me. “Keep dreaming Aden” Jacob said.
I sigh, this was happening since 5th grade, getting so competitive over everything.
“I’m going to marry you one day Vee” Aden winked at me. It’s the 3rd day of 4th grade and already the new boy is all over me. “Um, thanks Aden. But I already promised Jacob” I gave a nervous laugh. “Jacob huh? Who is he? I bet he’s a wuss.”
“What a wuss?” I thought out loud. “So where’s is Jacob?” he crossed his arm. I shrug and right on cue Jacob came in from the door. “Jacob!” I smiled brightly at him.
“Hey Vee, who’s him?” he asked. “This is Aden; he said he’ll also marry me.” Jacob rose one of his eyebrow, “Oh that so?” he stepped in front of me. “Well Aden, if it’s a fight you want, it’s a war you get.”
