Honestly, i respect your choice in wanting one.
but fourteen is every young for a belly button ring.
trust me, ive had similar sisuations with my paretns about my pericings.
i suggest you wait until your 16 and ask again.
prove to your mother that you can be very mature and responsible, keep up good grades (she'll be more linnet)
try asking for smaller things,
like getting your ears double pierced, or your nose or something.
in a clam, non-argumentative way explain to your mother that you feel a double standard with your are your sister.
but realize that she will tell you "your to young for one"
it's not about looking like a , or if its classy or not. somethings are ment for older people.
i am waiting till i'm 18 to get my belly done, and my tattoo.
