2011 Promo List:
So, this year I reached my own goal of 1,000 followers and it
took me three years. It was worth the wait, but along the way, I
met some people or noticed people who deserved to be noticed.
Not for the followers or the fame, but because their stories need to be
told and because they have quotes that I know will touch your heart
and make you smile. These people aren't the only ones, but they're
the ones who I've seen. Comment more.

Goodbye, 2011.
It wasn't amazing, but this was truly an unforgettable year. I had my
ups and downs, but the ups outweighted the downs. I met so many
amazing people this year, and I've been hurt plently of times. Each
time, I rose back stronger. Witty's always been there for me, and this
year, I think as a family, we grew stronger. The Witty facebook wall?
Blown up with posts. Witty best friends? Gotta love them. And our
bond with Steve? Amazing. Next year, I hope no one fades from this
website or forgets it. The quotes here have always made me laugh,
smile and tear up a bit. I've gone from being a Wittian, to a true Wittian.
I've had so much .. memories on this website and ever since the summer,
it's basically all my life's revolved around. To anyone else, that'd sound
pathetic. But to you guys? It's true. So here's to us, Witty. Here's to
Steve. And may 2012, bring many quotes and many memories to us all.

Once(upon)atime,
There was a girl. And one day, she stumbled upon society. It whispered in her
ear, and corrupted her mind. Telling her she wasn't skinny enough, telling her she
wasn't enough overall. It was the kids in school, the disgusted looks people gave
her, the models on television with their skinny bodies and perfect faces. She
wanted to be that. She wanted to be perfect. So, she starved herself. She painted
her face with make-up. She let society lead her on a dangerous journey. But she
never knew that not even society held a map to perfection. She got lost in her
new self. So, she cut. Self-harmed to cope. She learned that no one held the
key to perfect. So one day, she let the blade slip. An accident? No. It was a cut
deeper then any other. The pain hurt. But so did failure. A bottle of pills would
do the trick. So, she swallowed them down, along with her pain. She thought that
death wouldn't hurt. The bullying was probably worse. By ending it, she thought
that she was doing the right thing. But two minutes later, her parents found her.
Her scars were showing, and she was barely breathing. There was no
chance. "What happened, honey? What happened?" Her mother cried.
And it was then she knew. She knew what happened.
"Society killed the teenager." She whispered. And her journey was over.
This isn't a true story, but it's an average case.
Don't let society control you. Please. Do it for me.

Look at her.
Look at her wrists. Look at the way the scars are hidden under her sleeve.
Look into her eyes. Notice the bags under them from those endless nights of
crying herself to sleep, as she tried to drown herself in her own tears. Look
at her heart. Look at how it's broken into a million pieces. Left untouched
because no one could fix it and mend the wounds. Look at her closely.
