_authorized IS completely right.

There are people who simply copy and paste some other person's hard work and change the words to something stupid, most likely about some teenage celebrity.
That gets favorited cause it's pretty. Not because the quote has any substance.
THEN quotes come around talking about how guys only like the pretty/popular girls, but Witty users do the same thing by only looking at the colors and not the quote.

...Did that even make sense? xD

soooo truee. Expecially since I TRY so hard to make my quotes pretty like i do fades and TRY to format it but it sucks and no one favorites it even though I Put sooo much work into it :(

omg i so agree with you! i was planning on making a quote like this. thats so true, i hate when people fave these pretty quotes that have really no meaning whatsoever, or go on and on and on about nothing.

I think, and just putting in my opinion because personally I do like black and white quotes, people tend to favorite the 'pretty' quotes because they realize people put a lot of work into them. At least thats the case for the quote makers I like. They come up with their own formats, fades, colors, etc. And I think that shows. I mean, I'll be the first to admit sometimes really stupid quotes get on the top because that person took another girls fade, format, whatever, but if people realized that it wasn't completely original, it wouldn't get faved. Or maybe it would. But just my opinion.

this is so true... and i hate how people do that. they just ignore a quote if it doesnt have some type of different writing or really colorful. its rediculous.

this is so true....if ytou like the quote and its just in black plain font nobody will favorite until you make it pretty or even if the quote stinks but its pretty then everyone will end up favoriting it!
