Chapter 1
“Please, please, please!" My little sister cried. I stared down at her, eyebrows raised. "No. You are not using my fake puke. It's your first day of Middle School. You are not missing it."
Ashley (My sister) striked a puppy dog face and held onto my hand.
"Please, Amanda. Pleeeease."
I shook my head.
Middle School may be torture, but it's worse if you miss the first day of it. "Look," I say, staring down at her.
"Look, when I was in Middle School, I made a guide. You can borrow it, if you like."
My sister grinned. "Thanks! Thank you! Where is it?"
I put my finger to my lips. "Be right back."
I came back seconds later, with my book in my hands. How to Survive Middle School. It was my surviving guide. I tresured it.
"Now, don't let anything happen to it. And make sure no one sees you with it." Ashley nodded, and took the book from me.
"Well, come on, Mom's waiting. Let's go."
Ashley grinned, and opened the first page of my book. I made it into chapters, sections, and all that.
Ashley didn't care about Middle School anymore. She didn't need to. She had my book.
But me?
I had High School to worry about.

Hello Operator, does Heaven have a phone number?
Mommy went to Heaven, but I need her here today, My tummy hurts and I fell down, I need her right away,
Operator can you tell me how to find her in this book. Is heaven in the yellow part, I don't know where to look.
I think my daddy needs her too, at night I hear him cry. I hear him call her name sometimes, but I really don't know why.
Maybe if I call her, she will hurry home to me. Is Heaven very far away, is it across the sea?
She's been gone a long, long time she needs to come home now! I really need to reach her, but I simply don't know how.
Help me find the number please, is it listed under "Heaven"? I can't read these big big words, I am only seven.
