I would consider cool to be an adjective to describe a person who pays attention to what's popular at the time and being an all around confident and outgoing person. Teenagers these days are most definitely bombarded with advertisements, whether they be on the tv, computer, or just around public places. I would say most advertisements don't have an effect at all, but as a whole I would say they have a negative impact. Some ads promote negative behavior, such as drinking, to the audience. Who defines cool? I would say large corporations. They decide what will most likely be bought the most, and they deliver their products in such a way that it can make them 'name brand', such as Chanel, and make it seem that name brand is cool.

I get that, I've really always wanted to be free, to move somewhere far away where I can start over. I usually don't care what anyone thinks, I got over that in middle school, but they're my parents and they have a pretty huge influence on me whether I want them to or not.
