chapter twenty
LONDON'S POV;
I hadn't the slightest clue where Glenwick was, so we followed the road signs. I was in the car, and Mom was driving. I was looking up at buildings, trees, everything. I looked up to a sign post outside a bus station.
"MOM STOP!" I cried, straightening my back. My mom slammed hard on the brake, and we both jolted forward.
"WHAT?" She screamed.
"IT'S GLENWICK! WE'RE IN GLENWICK!" I bawled. We quickly got out of the car and sprinted into the bus station. There was no sign of him. We looked all around, but we couldn't see him. Anywhere.
"He must have moved off." I said, getting back into the car. It was spitting with rain now, so we got into the car quickly. Mom drove slowly along the streets of Glenwick, and we kept a look out for Trace.
TRACE'S POV;
I was walking along the roads, watching cars going past. It was raining now, but only lightly, and I had a hood on my jacket. My phone buzzed, and London, the only person in my contacts had texted me.
Where are you? I'm coming to get you.
"No!" I shouted aloud. People looked, and must have thought I was crazy. I texted her back.
NO! You are the reason I ran away, London!
I walked along, the rain heavier now. I lifted my phone as I read the next message.
I don't care! You're coming back home! I think I see you, anyway!
Raindrops expanded as they fell silently onto my cell phone screen. I wiped them off, leaving the rainbow effect on the screen, left at the last message London had sent me. I looked behind me, and saw a parked car at the end of a street, and two people running towards me. As they ran closer, I realized it was London and her mom. They caught up with me, and I looked London in the eye.
"Hey." She said. Her face was almost covered by her hood on her blue jacket. She looked amazing.
"Hi," I replied. She took hold of my arm, and we waited at the edge of the road. I watched as cars went passed, then there was a gap, which I was yanked into as London pulled my arm across the road.
"Get in the car." She said, giggling as she took her hood down, and climbed in after me.
"Thanks, London, and... er.." I said, looking at London's mom.
"Call me Emma, dear." She smiled.
"Thanks er.. Emma." I smiled. Well, it looked like London really did care for me.

Dear Jayden,
Hmm..well where do I even start?? Ahaha. Well last year I really liked you and we had been like best friends for 2 years. So..I didn't tell you at first and we just kept hanging out and stayed friends. Then I told you, and you told me you liked me back so...haha. So we went out for like 3 weeks I think. Then at lunch one day, we were playing the game where you try and step on people's feet. So thanks for the lies, the chipped tooth, and broken heart. Worst year of my life. A girl's heart is more sensitive than a boy's ok? Thanks a lot.
