I get you. It is hard to believe in God, especially when bad things happen in the world. But He warned us in the Bible that it wouldn't be easy to follow Him. And, I've accepted the challenge.
Going to church won't make you believe anymore than standing in a garage makes you a car. You just have to dig a little deeper, I suppose. It's all hard to comprehend now, but when we get older, it gets easier.

If you're comfortable with sharing, does the rest of your family believe in God?

Oh, I understand. And actually, that's a good question. But if could answer that, I'd have to be God.
In Psalms 93:2 it says "Thy Throne is established of old; thou art from everlasting to everlasting." That means God has always been, which is difficult for us to understand. It's hard for humans to imagine because we live in a realm where everything has a beginning and an end. But not so for God. He lives outside this realm and He created time for humans. He doesn't have a beginning, nor does he have an end.

This probably doesn't satisfy you. It doesn't satisfy most people. But there's really nothing else you can say about it. /shrug
