I think it's cool how books can be filled with pieces of advice. Especially fiction books. Like, you can be reading a book, and on every so many pages you find certain sentences or paragraphs that stand out to you, that mean more to you than others. And you can remember those lines that mean more to you even if you haven't read the book(s) for a few years.

I am a member of this thing called NaNoWriMo,
I joined at the time for fun and now I get emails from them. I got this one that showed all of the people signed up for it finishing the sentence "I am a writer because..." I have been thinking about it for so long drawing a blank. I couldn't come up with any reason other than "because I like it" Until, tonight. I realized I am a writer because when I am in a dark place, and I am feeling upset, books have always been there for me. Books are my escape from my stressful reality and into someone elses. And I feel like I was meant to do it.
I feel like I understand myself more now.

About a year ago my mum sent off one of my 'novels' to a publisher without telling me. The publishing company said they wanted to publish it and that they would within the next few months so around December time. I was really excited. Once December came around, I freaked. What if people didn't like it? What if it didnt sell? I asked if we could push back the release date to sometime in January, so I could prepare myself. They gladly accepted the offer. It give them more time to go over the novel and pick out any spelling mistakes and such. In January I was out of mind with worry, so I pulled out completely. Worst. Mistake. Of. My. Life.
Now I might never get the chance to publish one of my novels, and I hate myself for it.

My heart plunges to the bottom of my feet when someone spoils a book for me.
Novels are an escape for just a few moments, stripping away all your worry &misery.
It is an adventure you have not yourself experienced exactly as the protagonist has.
It is a piece of life that will make you laugh and cry over people that do not exist.
The book itself along with the characters can be there for you when nobody else is.
The book can have a meaning to you afterwards.
Novels are a gift, a simple piece of literature that makes you listen with your eyes.
My heart demands an apology when it is taken from what could have been an adventure.
