There are lots of
stereotypes,
And there are lots of traditional roles
For different kinds of people:
Men, women, black people, white people,
Asians, Latinos, Native Americans,
Gay, straight, bi....
The list goes on.
A person can choose
Whether to fulfill all of these assumptions,
Or completely abandon them.
Most people are a mix of both:
Of old and new,
Of expected and surprising.
They choose what they want to adhere to
And choose what they want to throw out.
Everyone has different facets to them,
And whatever a person's choice in life
Should be respected,
Whether they lean towards the traditional
Or towards the newfangled.
