So, I cooked a small
dinner for my mom and her friends today.
Pan seared tilapia, a kind of fish,with herbs, garlic, and
onions. They were all skeptical, considering the fact that
I'm only 15, and hesitated to accept some. After I gave them
their plates, I began eye balling everyone with intensity as they
each took a bite. As soon as my mom's friend took one bite,
her eye's widened, and she dropped the fork. Immediately, my
reaction is, "What is it? What's wrong?"
At this point, I'm all nervous and hoping I didn't just
waste time and effort cooking in a hot kitchen and adding dishes
to the sink; which I'd obviously have to wash when I was
done. She paused a moment, looked at me, and replied;
"You're going to make some young man very
happy one day."
Needless to say, I'm extremely happy, and they all want
cooking lessons from a 15 year old.
