I disagree. If a law was passed for more gun control (for example, I believe in Texas anyone over 18 could walk into Walmart and buy a gun) there'd be less violence (statistics prove) and people would feel less need to purchase guns to protect their families from psychos.

I think you're misunderstanding what I'm saying then. All I've been saying from the beginning is that the world is a messed up place if the only way people will feel safe is by owning a lethal weapon. And that America should set up some better gun laws in order to keep psychos from shooting innocent children.

I never said that guns should be taken away. I said that there should be stronger gun laws in place. Maybe testing a person's mental health before allowing to purchase a gun..you know in case they have an episode and go shooting their own mom and twenty kids for no reason.

Veteran or not, if they're a potential threat to people around them, they should not be allowed to own lethal weapons.

Any one who is fighting for my rights ( one of which to own a gun) should be allowed to have one. Any person can just snap and kill someone. You don't need a mental disorder.

What's more possible, you (assuming you don't have severe issues) or some guy who has a personality disorder or something.
They shouldn't just hand out lethal weapons to everyone.

Lethal weapons? If someone really wants to kill and hurt people they don't need a gun! Boston happened because of bombs. Not a gun. 9/11 was done by and air plane not a gun. Stabbings.people get killed by being beat to death. If Someone has issues and wants to kill they'll do it with or without a gun. Even if they can't get a gun legally they'll get one anyways.

But if a law was passed for people with issues not to get a gun, the killer wouldn't have been able to get a gun in the first place (he has a personality disorder and maybe autism) and Sandy Hooks wouldn't have happened.

Actually, the Boston bombers got caught. One got killed 2 nights ago, and they got the second suspect last night.. So the Boston thing is basically over.. There is a memorial sight where it happened (Boylston Street). I live there & I went to the memorial today.
