  I'm Jeff.

  Just wanted to get this off my chest.

  In 6th through 8th grade i had weight issues. I wouldn't say
  I was obese, but i was "chubby." It kinda crushed my
  self esteem. I wouldn't change in locker rooms in front of
  "jocks" and other boys, I never took my shirt off in
  pools, I never felt happy with myself.

  

  Now I'm in highschool. I lost all the weight from getting
  serious about sports. I started working out a lot freshman year,
  (this year) and all I've ever wanted was that perfect body.
  You walk into american eagle. You see these good looking guys
  with abs and you know you will never be as attractive as
  them.

  

  Now i actually take my shirt of when going into pools. But i
  still have a deathly fear of people seeing me and judging me as
  the kid who doesn't play sports, isnt as fit as his peers.
  The fat kid. I knew I'd be going to the beach a lot this
  summer, often with a lot of my friends who are female. So i set a
  goal to have abs by summer. A really intimidating goal for me,
  since i still look in the mirror and see... something fat and
  ugly.

  

  Recently I got abs... almost. I still have to suck in my stomach
  and squeeze my core really tight, but i do have abs, and with a
  little more working out I know they will show. You dont know how
  proud of my self i am. It's the first time I have seen myself
  as attractive rather than repulsive.

  

  Reading over this now, I sound like someone who is bragging about
  abs. But really i just want to express the little self confidence
  I have stirred up from the depths of my being in a place where I
  know I can trust people.

thats really good! making a goal and going for it and there! u have acomplished it! i am super proud of u even though i dont know u but it inspires me to get up and work out so maybe i will< im not really fat i guess but my mom keeps on reminding me how fat i am and because of ur story i might actually go and work out! its super good what u did and good luck with the ladies;p im even really self consious in the summer to wear a bikini< hell even to wear shorts but i think i might actully try this year! even if i dont know u ur story helped:) thanks for that

Hey, dont listen to you're mom, wel listen to your mom but dont okay what I mean is... I'm glad you dont really think youre fat and let other people tell you that they are because the more someone tells you you are something, the more you believe it. I'm not saying its bad to work out because Its good to be healthy and really helps your self esteem. but dont let other peoples negative words influence yourself. thats so amazing to hear that i inspired someone to do something. Im glad! you should do that! and Its funn coming back to school the next year and everyone's like dayyyuummmmm when they see the new you! you should try planet fitness. its the gym I goto. I think its nation wide. Nationwide is on your side. Sorry ADD. okay bye

thanks! and yeah we have a ymca realy close to our house so i might start going there! lol i thinki should mak eit my summer goal to go to the gym< as well as trael a tonee!!! yeah my gym teacher aways gives us lectures to excericise and stuff and hell what to i have to lose(except for fatness and lazyness and weight but thats besides the point:p) well u did inspire me so good job but u always helped ur self and even though i dont really know u i am soooo sooo sooo proud of u! enjoy ur summer at the beach!! to bad i lie to far away to go to the beach!!!

It doesn't sound like you're bragging about your abs it sounds like you worked your a.s off and you're proud.Nothing wrong with that now go use dem' abs and get a girl or guy don't judge(;
