Perhaps the
cruelest of all of life's lessons,
Is that
anything can be defeated by time. Even the strongest of loves and
the mightiest of cities, are but putty to the flame of an
eternity which flickers on and destroys. It is cruel, to watch as
the fire consumes it all, but that is life, and we must go
on.
