I lived there for two years. Blue and gold/yellow are the town colors. Green and white are specific to that school. Either way, it is in support of those affected by this tragedy and is appreciated by anyone who lives/has lived in Newtown and Sandy Hook

The way that it was said is high school was to wear blue and yellow. middle and elementary were to wear green and white.
