She's Not Afraid
Chapter Seven
When I walked through the door of the separate dance studio I was
attacked by six girls.
“What happened?!” they all shouted.
“You really wanna hear all the details?” I asked and
they all started pushing and poking me and saying yes over and
over. “Alright I’ll tell you!” I shouted
putting my hands up. “Summer loving, had me a blast. Summer
loving happened so fast,” I sang and they all rolled their
eyes and started walking away.
I was wearing really slippery socks so I kicked off my
Osiris’ and slid across the dance floor in front of
them.
“Met a girl, crazy for me,” I sang as I stopped Cora
and Angie dead in their tracks.
“Met a boy cute as can be,” Cora sang and I
laughed.
“Summer days driftin' away, to uh-oh those summer
nights,” Angie, Cora, and Olive sang and Hannah and I took
the male parts.
“Uh Well-a well-a well-a huh,” Olive and I sang.
“Tell me more, tell me more. Did you get very far?”
Olive sang and I chuckled.
“Tell me more, tell me more. Like does he have a
car?” Angie sang, and then Kristy spoke up.
“You guys are going to get nowhere if you keep goofing off
like this,” she said and I chuckled.
“We’re always going to be five singing idiots,”
I said and she chuckled.
“That’s nice, Niall,” she said and I rolled my
eyes.
“Shut up about Niall,” I said and then I was
bombarded with questions again.
“Did he ask you out?” Hannah asked.
“Yes, yes he did,” I said and they all smiled like
idiots.
“When’s the date?” Cora asked.
“I’m not telling you because, if I do, you’ll
follow us,” I said and they all laughed.
We rehearsed for the rest of the day and we were told, by Kristy,
to go to bed at a reasonable time. You see, Kristy doesn’t
tour in the bus with us, she just sort of shows up
everywhere.
“We’re not going to bed at a reasonable time are
we?” Cora asked and I shook my head.
“Heck naw! I WANNA STAY UP ALL NIGHT AND JUMP AROUND UNTIL
WE SEE THE SUN!” I sang.
“Twitcam it is,” Hannah said, grabbing her
laptop.
“I’ll come on later,” Olive said,
“I’m going to listen to music.”
“Me too,” Angie said, “I’ll come on
Twitcam later.”
“I’m going to go hang out with Angie and
Olive,” I said and Cora followed me, leaving Hannah to do
the Twitcam on her own.
“What are we doing?” I asked, walking into the room
at the end of the tour bus.
“A Twitcam to battle with Hannah’s Twitcam,”
Angie said.
“And we’re doing it in the bathroom why?” I
asked and Olive laughed.
“No idea,” she said, “but there’s some
interesting stuff in here.”
Olive started the Twitcam with the two of us, standing in the
small shower.
“Hi guys!” I said, “We’re currently in
the shower of our tour bus!”
