I totally understand what you mean. My mom acts EXACTLY the same as that. Like literally EXACTLY the same. I also know you can't leave at 18. (Your Christmas quote explains it). Cause' guess what? I have the same problem. There's nothing really you can do without getting lectured at. :( But I know exactly how you feel *hugs*

I'm not sure if I could deal with that.... And I thought my mom was strict. :(
Maybe you should tell her how you feel, because sometimes my mother acts similar (Though never that harshly), and it drives me crazy, so it must me hella hard on you. Maybe she doesn't realize how oppressive she is. I mean, it's your life. You deserve the chance to live it the way you want to live it, and if she has a problem with it, it's her job as an adult and a parent to deal with it, as long as your not making terrible choices that might hurt other people.

Yeah. I feel for you, even though I don't understand how hard that would be. But I mean, your gonna have to leave the house one day. Hopefully, you'll be allowed out more often. And if you want to chat, chances are I'm on so just drop in :)

I can't just tell her. It's not that simple. It just goes into a lot of other things with my mum. I love her, honestly and she has a good heart but it's just the way she thinks things should be. I don't really know what to do.

Yah. I want to be able to say I understand, but my parents not mind if I hang out with friends and stuff. Eventually, she's going to have to give you more freedom, or you wont know how to function when you leave home, which you will have to do. It's natural for kids to becoem more independent, so I can't imagine what she hopes to accomplish, even though i'm sure she thinks she has your best interests at heart.

Rewriting my comment 'cause it was messed up the first time.
~
You're only 13 and she's probably raising you this way because she thinks it's right and it may or may not have been how she was brought up as a child.
But, on the bright side, when you're 18 you can do whatever the hel/ you want and she won't be able to say a thing about it because legally she won't be able to. c:

Honestly, I believe you can stick out 'till then.

I know but the thing is, it's not that simple for me. I wish it was. But if I leave when I'm 18 then I'd probably split up my whole family and lose my mom which I don't want to do. So I honestly don't know what to do. But thanks anyways :) It honestly means a lot.

Everyone leaves when they're an adult. It's a part of life whether your family likes it or not. Not to sound rude. But....if your family really is that..tough..why don't you call someone who specializes in that kinda thing and try to get your family on the right track?

It's just really a lot to explain. And don't worry, I don't take any offense. I'd say the same. But leaving when I'm 18 means more than just leaving. It's complicated :(

Oh my gosh that's crazy! I hope she goes a little easier on you! Have you tried just talking to her about it, telling her it upsets you?

Trust me, it wouldn't work. I know my mom and it just wouldn't work. I wish it would. :(
