*Chapter
Twenty-Seven*
Amber's
POV:
"Is it seriously
raining?" I
whispered with my eyes
closed. I was mad, but
staying calm. I felt
Niall budge around and
rest up on his
elbows.
"Yup." I sat
up and started to blow
out the candles.
"Let's get
this stuff in the car
before it starts to
pour." We packed
up on belongings and
piled it into the car.
All of a sudden, it
started to down pour on
us. I squealed a
little, but it was kind
of fun.
Niall and I just sort
of stared at each other
in amazement until
Niall decided to walk
over to me. He swung
out his hand to me and
asked, "May I have
this dance?" My
heart skipped a beat as
I nodded. We ran out to
the muddy field, bare
foot, and started to
dance.
His
left hand rested on my
hip while his other
hand remained
intertwined with
mine. My free hand
was lost in his hair,
rubbing my fingers
against his head. He
hummed in my ear and I
could've stayed in
that moment forever. We
were slow dancing in
the rain and I felt
loved and needed by
a man for
once in my life.
"I think this
would be the moment for
me to tell you."
He looked me in the eye
and held me close.
"I love you."
His hand slithered up
from my waist and
gripped my neck as he
kissed me. I was lost
in the moment and just
went a long with
whatever he wanted. My
arms whipped around his
neck and I jumped on
him. He carried me to
the car, slipping
halfway there.
"Well I
should've thought
that all the way
through before I
ran here." I was
laying in the wet grass
looking up at him.
"Let's get out
of this rain." I
got in my car and
started it up. When I
tried to drive away, I
discovered that we were
stuck. "Let me
text my Mom and let her
know we might be home a
little later."
Niall got out and
looked at the muddy
ditch we parked in.
"I can get us out
as soon as it stops
raining." He
looked up at the sky.
"Which doesn't
seem to be happening
any time
soon."
"Get
back in this car,
Niall!" He jogged
back to the
passenger's door
and got in.
"My Mom said
it's best to just
wait here until
it's over." I
glanced at
the radio
clock that read
10:22 p.m. and
sighed.
"Well what are we
going to do now?"
Niall asked
me.
"I don't
know." I smiled at
him as he leaned in and
kissed me agian.
