Hey! Im a freshman as well, and I was reading this and reminded me of myself. Except, with one person. I had a best friend from kindergarten to 8th grade. and Then last summer, she got a boyfriend. Its not even that hes a jerk, he's pretty nice actually. Its that, we always use to talk about how we would never be the girls who drop their lives for that one guy. And a month later, we go from seeing each other every day, to im lucky if she texts me 'hey' once a week. it hurt, a lot. and i just had to come to realize, highschool brings out the change in people. i wish we still talked. so i feel your pain.

Same thing here, except I've only had one best friend ever- back in 2nd grade. Now I kind of have a group of friends that I hang out with but they annoy me so much and I don't really like them. I guess I could go hang out with the popular girls but I honestly hate some of them so much that I can't do it.

O.m.g. Same. Exact. Problem. No one wer sticks around? They all have someone better to move on to, or you just share them too much.

I definatley know what you mean. When I was in 6th grade, I met this girl Maddie. We were best friends to about half of 7th grade. She got pretty controlling. Like when I would hang out with my other friend Sarah, she would be like super mad at me. We stopped hanging out but then I got closer to Sarah and this other group of girls. But if you want that one friend, wait until after the summer or find someone who has the same problem as you. Or wait until school starts again and befriend a new kid. Or hang out with a group of people and whenever you want some one on one time, invite someone from that group. Hope i've helped :)

If you ever want to talk about anything, I'll be here always. I wish I could be independant like you. I depend on my friends and family. To have friends though, comes with drama too. My friend Tori and I have arguments sometimes. I have this BEST FRIEND (We call each other sisters) I don't really hang out with anymore because she goes to another school. It's hard because we only hang out on fridays' but I those days I'm extra busy. Don't worry too much about friendships.
