“I want to show you
something,” he said before getting up. I followed him as he
led me through the woods to the creek. He bent down slightly as I
jumped on his back. His shoes were already in his hand and his
pants legs were rolled up. He took ten steps and crossed the creek
to a tiny island. I loved this island. On our first date, I showed
it to him. On our second date, he gave me my first kiss. We spent
so much of our time right here. He set me down gently and reached
for something in his pocket. Then he bent down on one
knee…
Time flew by and six months later, I found myself in front of
hundreds of people in a regal church.
We had decided to do our own vows.
“Do you, Mariam, take me, Travis Michael Garland, to be your
husband?”
“Is it even possible to say ‘no’ to Travis
Garland?” I replied before kissing his
lips.
“I want to show you something,” he said before getting
