Chapter 3
-Amber's POV-
My alarm clock woke me
up at 7, one hour to get ready and leave for school. I
did my daily routine, and put on my

When I got to school, I was looking everywhere for Devan. My
eyes lit up when I saw him standing by our group of friends.
Samantha shouted, “AMBER, I MISSED YOU!” she ran
up and gave me a hug. “I missed you guys, a lot.”
I managed to smile; I actually remembered who they
were. Devan was in pretty much all of my classes. Part
of me was really happy about that, and the other part
wasn’t too happy. I was really looking forward to after
school. That means I could spend time with Devan. Lunch
FINALLY came around. Everyone was talking about some dance
coming up, I just looked at them in confusion. What dance?, I
thought. “Amber, are you going?” “To the
dance? Unless someone asks me no.” Devan looked at me
and smiled. For some reason that definitely made me blush. He
probably saw because he chuckled a little. The school bell
rang for the last hour of the day. I was looking all over the
place for Devan. I felt someone’s arm wrap around my
waist. I screamed, “Devan-- let me go!” I laughed
mid-sentence. “So what do you wanna do today?”
Devan asked. “My place, movies and popcorn. Now!”
He grabbed my hand while we were walking. When we got
to my house, the door was wide open. “What the
heck?” I said. All of a sudden there were screams
coming from inside.
