Chapter 24.
Justin's POV.

"Thank you so much." I hung up my phone. It has now been one week since I've seen Jessica. I haven't talked to her, either. She didn't respond to the necklace either. I just got a flight to take off tonight, so I started packing. When I was done packing, I got to the airport as fast as I could. Part of me was excited, and part of me was mad. I thought about it the whole way to the airport. And some more on the plane.
How could husband and wife stay out of touch for a whole week? It doesn't happen normally. Especially with me and Jessica. I was surprised that I was still even living. We could barely stay apart for a couple hours, let alone days. I made myself fall asleep thinking about it.
"Passengers, you have now arrived in Florida."
I got off the plane and nearly ran out the door. I shoved passed people and shouted apologies over my shoulder. I couldn't wait any longer. I was desperate to see my girl. My wife. I was hoping she felt the same way. I went to the hotel she stayed at. Don't ask me how I found it, cause I don't even know.
I went to the desk.
"Jessica Bieber, Taylor Swift. What room?"
"234." The guy said. I ran off.
"Run like the wind!" He shouted after me.
"Thank you!" I thanked him for giving me the room number. I ditched the elevator. It wasn't coming down. I ran up the stairs instead. 2 flights and I wasn't stopping. I stopped in front of room 234, breathless. I knocked on the door. Taylor answered.
"Oh, h-hi." She said. She stepped aside and then left the room. I walked in. Jessica wasn't there. I walked in the bedroom. She was laying on the bed, staring out the window. She wasn't facing the door.
"Who was it?" She mumbled, still not turning to look.
"Hey, Jess." I knocked on the door. She sat up slowly and turned to look at me.
"Hi." She said. She didn't get up. She had a guilty look on her face though.
"How are you feeling?" I asked. I stayed at the door. I couldn't get myself to move.
"I-I'm good." Jessica said. She looked confused.
"That's good." I was bored of making small talk.
"What are you doing here?" She stood up. I couldn't hold myself back any longer.
"Jessica, why didn't you answer me? Why didn't you call me back? Why didn't you stay on that Tinychat? You couldn't have sent a letter or a text or a call? Nothing? You just felt the need to leave me hanging? That was the hardest thing I've ever went through!"
"Justin, you don't think it was hard for me!?" She was raising her voice. "I woke up every day and went to sleep every night, thinking about you. I couldn't take my mind off you. I didn't want to admit it. I couldn't make myself admit it to anyone. I couldn't admit it to myself. It was hard!"
"Why didn't you talk to me?"
"Because, Justin. Hearing your voice would have made me change my mind."
"Why didn't you want it to change your mind?"
"Because I wasn't ready. I wanted time alone, Justin." She was crying now, and so was I.
"What do you want me to do, Jessica? I don't know what to do. I sent you a necklace. I called you. I texted you. I tweeted you. I did everything. I don't know what it will take. I'm sorry. Don't you understand? What more do you want?" I asked.
I was having a break down. Jessica ran, closing the short distance between us. She cried into my shoulder. We stood there in each other's arms. We swayed and cried. Just let it all out. I kissed her head and ran my fingers through her hair. I took her face in my hands and kissed her for what felt like eternity. We smiled at each other when we pulled away. Something shiny caught my eye. I left Jessica standing there and went to get it. When I came back, I slipped the ring on her finger.
"Just forget this happened. Let's start over."
"Okay. Hi, I'm Jessica Bieber. And you are?" She held out her hand and I shook it.
"I'm Justin Bieber. Nice to meet you." I leaned in to kiss her again. When we pulled away, she looked into my eyes. I stared back into her watery, sparkling blue eyes. She opened her mouth to speak.
"It's good to have you back, Bieber."

*even all these years, we just now got the feeling that we're meeting for the first time.
