Did you ever think,
About how hard it must be for our dads to watch us grow up.
He went from spinning us around in circles,
giving us piggyback rides,
carrying us to bed,
telling us stupid jokes.
teaching us how to ride a bike,
Singing us songs,
playing dolls with us,
attempting to do our hair when mommy wasn't home,
giving us baths..
But then he blinked.
And now hes sending us on dates,
making us change our outfits before we leave the house,
watching us kiss other guys,
seeing us with makeup caked on our faces,
and our hair has to look perfect.
