Part 6:
I wasn't sure whether to tell Jared what happened tonight, but
then I figured that he deserves to know. I went inside and my
mom was up in the shower so I figured it would be the perfect time.
I told Jared that we went to go get icecream and that he payed for
it and that he gave me a kiss on the cheek. I expected a different
reaction but Jared seemed mad. He told me that it was wrong
that I was dating a guy that was 2 years older than me and that he
was one of his best friends. I knew it was wrong too but I just
didn't want to believe it anymore. I told Jared that I have
liked John for the past 2 years but he didn't believe me. Jared
told me that also John has liked me and has always talked about me
and how pretty I was. Jared warned me that he doesn't know how
to keep a relationship and that to not bother with this kid
anymore. He basically banned me from dating John. Later that night,
I talked to my mom about it. She felt that it was wrong for me to
date a guy that was 2 years older, but the heart wants what the
heart wants. She said that she would allow me but it is partly
Jared's choice cause their friendship came first. I texted John
that night and told him about everything. He said that the heart
wants what the heart wants, and he really wants to make a
relationship with me because he has liked me. I knew that I was
waiting this long, and this was my one chance, and I wasn't
going to lose it. I had a plan that would make Jared, my mom, me
and John all happy, and that was to sneak around dating and keep it
a secret. It was time to take this plan into action.
