Part 3

We decided that since it was getting later and darker that we would go inside and watch a scary movie. We all decided on "Nightmare on Elm Street" and then I went inside to start on the popcorn and I got some candy out of the closet. We all took our seats and I sat next to John on purpose. He seemed okay with it so I stayed there. I hated scary movies, but I watched them so that I looked like I was strong and not a scaredy cat 9th grader. It got to one of the scary parts and I just had to scream, like all the rest of my friends. John turned to me and he was like "Don't worry, I'm right here". We then shared blankets and John and me shared one. Everything was going good. He then put his hand around me but not on my shoulder, on the couch. So I don't really know if that's his way of putting his arm around me or he was just stretching, but I just stayed there. When the movie ended, people were starting to get picked up. One by one, my friends left except for Allyson who was sleeping over. My brother's friends got to stay a little later till 1 oclock in the morning, because they are older. Allyson and I decided to go into my room because we needed to talk about today. Allyson thinks that John likes me, but he hasn't done really anything to make me think that he would want to be with me. And then we went downstairs.
