My friend Jake is bullied for being gay. I'm proud of myself for always being on his side, but mostly I'm proud of him for coping with it. He tried to commit suicide by running into a road, but I held him back. The car didn't swerve, break or anything at all O_O (I'm now terrified of silver cars) I'll do anything to make sure he stays until he's like 80 years old♥ I'm not in love with him but he's one of the nicest guys I know and one of my best friends since year 7 :')

Are you serious? Yes, it's their fault that they committed suicide. But that doesn't mean that the thousands of disgusting homophobes who bully homosexual/bisexual children aren't to go without blame. It's incredibly ignorant to call people who commit suicide "dumb". People don't always CHOOSE to be depressed; it's a mental illness that if passes by unnoticed and untreated can result in these tragic cases. Please try to keep an open mind and actually think about what you're saying before you speak.

Suicide happens when pain exceeds resources for coping with pain. It was his choice to commit suicide. It was his choice to take the pain he was suffering and pass it on to the ones he loved. It was selfish of him. He may have escaped the terror and the hurt, but now the ones who loved him are suffering when they probably wanted to help him feel better instead.

I remain indifferent toward victims of suicide. Giving up is not and never will be the answer, and passing on your suffering to the people who love you is selfish... But suffering is never easy, so I can't go without sympathy.

this is such a sad story. incidents like this are why i started this new profile to help kids get out their anger and show why bullying is so wrong, because bullying really hurts people and almost led many people, including myself, to suicide, some of which followed through.

Um, PeaceeLoveeHappinesss? Why don't you keep you bad comments to yourself. Were you in his pussision? no. So you have NO IDEA how it felt to be him. So honestly, you can go smd if you think that. Because I bet he was a great guy, and he just got bullied all the time. I bet he suffered from depression, Do you think he can HELP that? I take pills for depression and I used to be suicidal. So seriously, just shut the up. Because it's not even funny, you can't help it it's a disease in the mind.

@PeaceeLoveeHappinesss I'm sorry, but I think it's pretty rude to be calling a boy who is dead "dumb" and "stupid." Do you think he asked to be gay? Do you think he asked to be bullied? Do you think he ASKED to be suicidal? I don't think anyone would ask for those things. Suicide is a really serious thing. You don't just wake up one day and say, hey, I think I'll kill myself.
