Kiss You: Chapter Twenty Five
Sapphire's P.O.V
Niall and I were going to the DVD rental place to get a movie or two and some popcorn and candy for tonight. We were both wearing jeans and T-shirts. After looking around for nearly half an hour, we finally decided on two DVDs and after hiring them out, we walked out of the store and onto the street, holding hands.
“Niall! Niall!” I turned around to see a fan running over to us. I smiled at Niall and he kissed the air between us before stopping for the two girls. One of them was blonde, and the other was wearing a red polka dot bow in their hair.
“Oh my god. We love you two so much. Hi,” Blondie gushed taking out her phone.
“Hey girls,” he said.
“Oh my god. Can we please get a picture with you?” red bow asked.
“Sure,” he answered and took the phone from the girl’s hand. “Sapph, do you mind?” he asked.
I shook my head and took the phone off him to take a picture for the girls. He stood in the middle of them and they leaned into him a little.
“Smile,” I said pressing the button to take the photo. I handed it back to her with a smile and she thanked me. Niall took a step back to me and put his arm around my waist. We waited for the girl’s to see the photo and make their judgement on it before walking away.
Blondie looked up and smiled.
“Sapphire, were you scared when you found out about Tyler?” red bow asked looking up as well.
Niall squeezed my side and I put my arm around his waist too, “Uh, yeah.”
“Did Niall make it better?” Blondie teased. She smiled, not being able to stop for she was in awe of Niall, and stared at us waiting for our answer.
“Yes. He did,” I replied and glanced at him. He poked my side and I squeaked out a squeal.
The girls giggled again. “You two are, like, seriously the cutest thing ever.”
“Thank you,” I expressed my gratitude and Niall also said thanks, nodding at them in appreciation as he did so.
“What did he do?” red bow asked.
“He just held me and talked to me,” I told them honestly.
“That’s so sweet,” they said in unison.
“Did you guys kiss too?” Blondie asked.
I laughed awkwardly and nervously, and Niall pulled me in a little closer to him.
The girls turned to each other and giggled, knowing it was a yes. “You’re so lucky,” red bow added.
I nodded, “I know.”
“Can I have another hug?” Blondie asked.
“Of course. Of course,” he answered slithering his arm out from around my waist, and I let go of him so he could lean forward and hug the two fans.
“Okay, we’ll let you go. Bye Niall! We love you!” they cooed one more time before we walked off.
He waved over his shoulder and we walked back to our flat. After two seconds of being inside, Niall was already asking for popcorn.
“Alright, Ni, relax,” I said, laughing slightly. I put the bag in the microwave and set it for three minutes.
“Thanks Sapph,” he said kissing my cheek. I smiled as he went to turn the TV on.
Eventually there was a beeping noise, so I opened the door to the microwave and poured the contents of the bag into a big bowl and took it into our living room. I sat down on the couch next to him, handing him the bowl as I did.
“Thank you princess,” he said taking a small handful out. I moved my bracelet around my wrist and fingered the four clover charm for a few seconds.
“I can’t believe you still wear that,” Niall said noticing.
I glanced up at him, “Of course I still wear it.”
He had given me the charm two and a half years ago, in the very early days of our relationship. He picked up my wrist and observed the charm on the bracelet. I didn’t wear it as often as I used to, but I still put it on every now and then. I also wore it if he was on tour and I was at home alone. The charm had meaning to it. The small silver clover was one of the first things Niall gave to me and I treasured it.
He pecked my lips then shoved a piece of popcorn in his mouth. I told him to open his mouth and then I started throwing pieces of popcorn in, or at least trying, making a mess on our couch. He laughed, and that is honestly the best sound I hear all day.
Some days, Niall and I just reminisce back to the day we met, and the few months in between getting back together where it was awkward and not so good between us. I’d discovered that his feelings never ever left him, not once throughout those months, they never faded and he never lost faith in us. At first, it only made me feel guilty because in some ways, I led him on so many times; going with him to events and travelling with him. He said that he never gave up on me, though, because if I was doing so many things with him, I must have still had something for him, because he didn’t believe I was the type to lead someone on then forget about them.
I had told him how when he smiled at me the morning we first properly met in the hotel my heart raced a million miles an hour. I told him how when he kissed me on the Ferris wheel, I felt everything you should when you kiss someone you love. I told him when asked me to be his girlfriend, the first time, it was the happiest moment of my life at the time. I had told him about how I still loved him after I broke up with him and that when I first saw him after our fight it was the most awkward and hardest thing I’d ever had to do. I told him how I loved him so much; I couldn’t even express in words how much I did.
I had asked him countless times what he thought about me when we first met. He told me that he thought I was pretty and when he talked to me, he got unusually nervous and fidgety. Then, he discovered I was kind, smart and his type of girl. He knew I had a celebrity crush on him, so he had nothing to lose when he made his move. When you’re friends with a celebrity, after a while, you get used to them being famous, and if you still get butterflies when you hear their name, that’s when you know you’re in love. That’s exactly what I feel when I’m with Niall.
My parents like Niall, they know he makes me happy and he was protective and caring towards me. And Niall’s parents like me; they think I’m good for him. They say I’m clever, loving and a very nice girl.
We’re not afraid to make a fool of ourselves in front of the other one because we know it doesn’t matter. We’re totally comfortable with each other and it’s something I’ve always wanted with someone. I finally have it and I’m holding onto it with all I have. I love Niall so much.
