The Boy Who Changed Me
Chapter 24
The carnival was so much fun!
First, we decided to play some games at the booth, and I completely failed.
Chandler won this water gun game, and he got me a huge, fluffy, plush teddy bear.
He then pulled me to a long, long line filled with excited people.
He pointed at the sky as I looked up.
It was a terrifying ride where you turn, twist, flip every second called The Zipper.
"Come on, let's go!" he yelled happily as he pulled me towards the line.
"Uhh Chandler, I hate rides like this!" I whined.
"You can't just come to a carnival and not go on a ride like this!" he said, persuading me a bit.
I hesitated a bit, but then I looked at his gorgeous smile.
"Fine." I muttered as I went into line.
We waited for about 5 minutes, a couple of times I tried to run away, but he caught me.
"Tickets please!" the worker said as Chandler gave him 8 tickets.
"I-I'm n-not so s-ure I wanna g-go on a-anymore Chandler!" I stuttered, as I got a closer look at the ride that made my heart beat 2 times faster just looking at it.
The worker put us in a hot pink cage and locked the door as we were sitting inside.
"Don't worry Lexi, it'll be over in like 3 minutes!" Chandler said, trying to calm me down.
Suddenly, Chandler swings the cage, making us flip twice.
"Chandler stop!" I screamed as we reached the top and started flipping like crazy.
The speed increased, as we went around in circles, my body going back and forth.
"HELP ME, HELP!!!" I shrieked, as I closed my eyes.
At one point, it felt like we were in the air, but it ended with a bang as we weren't upside down.
I breathed heavily as I felt my eyes watering, even though they were closed.
We finally stopped spinning, as we were at the top.
"Don't worry, we're just going to the bottom, and we'll be done." Chandler said calmly, who looked like as if he actually enjoyed the ride.
Then, he started swinging the cage, which made it flip in the first place.
"F/CKING STOP CHANDLER!" I snarled as he held his legs still.
I can be really commanding when I've been scared out of my mind.
It finally finished, and we were outta that death machine.
"I'M FREE!" I yelled as I crouched to the ground.
"See, that wasn't so bad wasn't it?" he whispered in my ear as I bit my lower lip.
I haven't been on a scary ride like that in like 3 years!
During those 3 years, I had motion sickness, and I was too ashamed to chicken out and tell him.
My stomach felt queasy again, as I held and pinched my stomach.
"Are you okay Lexi?" he asked alarmingly.
"Awww, is little Lexi gonna vomit?" I heard someone say.
Happy Thanksgiving!
