Chapter 29
I opened my eyes, only to find complete darkness. I sat up, completely confused, and terrified.
I ran my hands over my stomach, making sure the baby was okay. Yes, it was so dark that I couldn't see my hands in front of me.
"Hello?" my shaky voice called out into the darkness.
"Jacks?" a familiar, sweet voice called for me.
"Wilson?" I asked "Yes it's me, Jacks!"
His voice came out releaved "Oh, Jacks!"
"Wilson!" I cried out, feeling the lump form in my throat, and the tears weld up in my eyes.
"Come to me Jacks!" his voice called.
I ran through the darkness "Wilson?"
His voice slowly had begun to fade "Jacks!" his voice still called for me.
"Wilson." I cried, falling to my knees. I covered my eyes with my hands as I began to sob "Wilson, I love you! Please come to me!"
His voice no longer called back to me. His presence was no longer there with me. I sat there and sobbed for at least an hour, maybe more, I honestly don't know.
"Hello Jacks." His blissful voice spoke from in front of me.
I opened my eyes to see the cliff where Wilson and I shared our first kiss. And I then slowly looked up to find a strong young man in a military uniform, and the man in the uniform was him... Wilson.
"Is it really you Wilson?" I asked between sobs.
His soft face let off his beaming smile. Oh, how much I missed his smile, and his presence.
"Yes... It's me." He extended out his arm to help me up.
I excapted and as soon as I was on my feet, I wrapped my arms tightly around his neck. He then wrapped his strong arms around my waist.
Oh, how I missed his musky smell. Oh, how I missed the way it felt when he hugged my waist like that. Oh, how I misse... im.
We didn't let go of each other. He gently stroked my long blond hair, and I tousled my fingers in his dark short hair.
I pulled back, feeling the hot tears stream down my face.
"I love you." he whispered.
I sobbed a bit "I love you too... And I miss you so much."
"I wish I could stay here with you." he smiled.
"Then why don't you?" I asked him, my voice shaking.
"God called me, and told me it's time for me to go."
I shook my head and buried my face into his uniform.
"I'll always be there for you and the baby. And now you have Marley, and Jason, who I know will stick by you." he rubbed my back.
"How do you know?"
"I just do baby." he muttered.
"I mainly wanted you to know, that I'm going to a better place, and that you needed to stop crying over me. Jason and Marley will stand by you... Always. And I will always be there to watch after you and the baby no matter what." he said in my ear gently.
I sobbed harder than ever. That was the sweetest thing he's ever said to me.
"I love you." I said, my voice muffled by his chest.
"I love you too." He tilted my chin up to look into his eyes.
I stared into them for a moment. I was going to miss his gorgeous eyes.
"You'll always be with me... You will never be without me... And there is nothing to worry about... And the last thing is, I love you, and goodbye." He leaned in, and molded his mouth into mine.
We were made for each other. This moment with him, just proved it. The way we melted together. They way we toldeach other the perfect things.
He pulled back, his skin begining to faintly glow.
"Goodbye." he whispered one last time.
He backed away, dropping my hand to my side as he glowed brighter, into this huge orbe of light, and he then just vanished.
There I was left in complete darkness.
"Hello?" my voice broke "Wilson?"
Silence.
"No!" I screamed for him.
My voice faintly echoed.
"Wilson!" I walked on.
"Wilson!"
"Wilson!"
No response.
After calling out forever a voice called back "Jacks!"
"Wilson?" I yelled back.
"Jacqueline!" another voice yelled to me.
"Hello? Wilson?" I asked back.
"Jacks!"
"Jacqueline!"
"Jacks!"
The two voice called me repeatedly. I tried to yell back, but my voice wasn't audible.
"Help!" I cried out.
"Jacks!" Marley shook me awake. Her and Jason sat on the edge of my bad.
She wore a simple sleek black dress that sat at her knees. While Jason wore a simple blazer over a white button up shirt and some dress pants. They had been dressed for the funeral.
"The funeral is in an hour." Jason said "You didn't answer the door so we broke in... And we found you crying in your sleep." He almost sounded as if he felt guilty about something.
"Oh no." I crawled out of bed as I wiped my eyes.
Marley gently pushed me back down on the bed "No honey, just let me handle this. Okay?"
I nodded.
She walked over to my closet in silence. They knew I was a wreck. Even Jason, for once, he didn't even attempt to crack a joke.
So he just sat on my bad, shuffling his hands.
Marley came out a second later holding a black pencil skirt and a matching blazer with a red button up shirt for underneath.
I got dressed in that. Marley did my make up and hair. And I only mentally prepared myself to see my husband, the father of my child, laying on his death bed.
