Chapter 6
Lauren's POV
You're just being paranoid. As we pulled into the parking lot the van kept going straight. I sighed with relief. Kay and I searched around the mall till we found the perfect outfits. Since I figured everyone would be wearing purple, I chose blue.
The Next Morning
"Lauren! Kaylee! Wake up, you two have to get ready!" my mom yelled at us. I glanced at Kaylee, who was still asleep. I threw a pillow at her and she groaned. "Come on! We gotta get ready!" I screamed in her face. She sat up and streched. We both went upstairs to the kitchen. "Okay, we have eggs, pancakes, waffles, bagels, toast, or cereal. Take your pick." I announced. She grabbed a box of cereal, put it in a bowl, poured milk, and sat down. I put a bagel in the toaster and waited. "What do you want to drink?" I asked. "Owaje buze," she said, her mouth full of Lucky Charms. "Orange juice?" I asked. She nodded. I poured a glass for her and took a waterbottle for me. Just then, the bagel popped up. I took it out and spread it with strawberry cream cheese. I sat down and ate it while Kaylee stuffed her mouth. Both my parents had just left for Christmas shopping. That meant we had to watch my brother and sister. After breakfast, Kay went home to shower and get her stuff. I looked in the living room at Jake and Kelsee. They were watching Up."Are you okay if I get in the shower?" I asked. They nodded, their heads still turned towards the tv. I skipped upstairs and into the bathroom. I blasted Under the Mistletoe and hopped into the shower. When I got out, I put on my robe and combed my hair. I grabbed a plain white cami and soffee shorts to wear while I got ready. I brushed my hair and slightly blow dried it. I went downstairs to check on Jake and Kelsee. They hadn't moved an inch. The doorbell rang and I let Kaylee back in. She was wearing the same as me, but with a winter coat and snow-covered boots. She was carrying a huge tote and another overnight bag. We went upstairs into my room. She laid out her outfit on my bed, next to mine. The concert started at 7, it was an hour drive so we had enough time. It was already one o'clock. We went into my bathroom and spread all of our makeup all over the counter. We did each others makeup, I did hers first. It took about 45 min. Then she did mine, she took her time, so it took her an hour. 2:45, I curled her long, brown hair and french-braided her bangs. 3:20. She straightened my hair, and did this cool bow thing. 3:50, we packed our bags, since we were staying in a hotel after. My mom and dad got home awhile ago and were watching my siblings. My dad packed our bags in the car while we double-checked we had everything. At 4, we said our goodbyes as Kaylee backed out of the driveway. We blasted Justin Bieber and sang along. My stomach growled and I realized I skipped lunch. We stopped for Burger King chicken fries, then continued the drive. Almost an hour later, we pulled into the hotel's parking lot. Thank goodness the arena was basically next door. When we got out of the car, snow started to fall. We grabbed our bags and rushed inside, praying our hair and makeup wasn't ruined. We checked in at the front desk. The worker handed us our key and we got into the elevator. Just then, I saw a man in all black walk in the hotel. That guy looks shady, I thought to myself.
