BanD SLaM

The boys and I were all in the same room, for the first time in a long time. I sat by Nick. His arm was around me. Zander sat, legs crossed on the floor, staring at the carpet and trying not to look jealous. Ian fiddled with his thumbs, and Jazzy was lost in thought.
"You all know why you're here," I said quietly.
They all looked at me. I shrugged Nick off and sat alone.
"I have a decision to make," I breathed, looking at all of them. "And it's really hard."
All of the guys had amazing qualities. My eyes looked at all of them, one at a time. I opened my mouth and then quickly closed it again.
"I-I-"
Jazzy looked at me, smiling reassuringly. "Tab, don't pick me. I'll make it easier on you."
I shook my head. "But, Jazz -"
"If it's meant to be, it'll happen on its own."
He got up and left.
I looked at Ian.
"Debby and I got back together yesterday," he said.
I was running out of choices.
Nick and Zander exchanged an awkward glance. I raised an eyebrow.
"I'm moving to Mexico!" cried Zander.
I looked at him for a long time. "Mexico?"
He nodded slowly.
I turned to Nick.
"What about the band?" I asked.
"I can be replaced," Zander said, smiling.
I sighed. "I'm gonna miss ya, Zander."
Zander and Nick went to get Zander's stuff together.
And then, I was alone in my room. And I had made my decision.
I ran upstairs to Zander's room. I looked in and saw the boys laughing. I smiled a bit, but I kept walking. I knocked on Ian's door and poked my head in. He was asleep.
Finally, I walked into Jazzy's room. He was facing the wall, head hung in shame.
"I lost my chance," he said, punching the wall.
I smiled to myself and grabbed his arm, swinging him around and kissing him.
He let go after a moment.
"But, Tab -"
"You said if it happens it happens. This was how it was supposed to happen," I said quietly.
We both smiled and kissed again.
And that, my friend, is called living happily ever after.
