In this type of situation, your only answer would be to talk to him and tell him everything. Depending on how he reacts to the information you tell him, you can decided if you want to continue in this type of relationship or not. Usually, when someone is in this type of relationship, it is because that person has a lot of things they want to get of their chest, as well as the fact that he/she wishes to save the relationship. It hurts, doesn't it? I know exactly how you feel. What makes it worse is that you need help but you do not know how to ask for it; you do not want people to judge you even more. You wake up every morning, wondering why it hurts so much. Some mornings, you just wish you could stay in bed for the rest of your life, get away from the pain, get away from it all. You become lost, and people continually ask you to fins your way. All you can reply is, "But how, when I don't even know who I am anymore? I can't tell you it gets better, but I can tell you that little by little, you will find yourself. It may not be who you always expected to be. But it is you, the very special you. If you need someone to talk to, I am here. I really hope that things get better for you. I know it seems so overwhelming and confusing right now, but...What is a life without struggle? We just have to make ourselves stronger. Although those nasty voices remain, try and make them a little bit softer and make the good feelings a little bit louder.

The truth isn't always liberating; sometime it can be its own prison. I understand what you are going through. I am going through a similar situation myself. I guess we just have to come to terms with the fact that if we continue telling lies, then where is the truth in our life? I hope things get better for you. Stay strong.:)

When my aunt died of cancer, my mom came up with this elaborate introduction before telling me, so I could not believe what she told me. I just couldn't. Then, it sank in, and I cried for days, wondering why it had to happen. I still hold onto everything she has ever made me or given me, when I was a kid. I hope you feel better. I understand how hard it is to lose someone. His memory will live inside you:) RIP to your grandpa and my condolences to ur family

I don't know you, but I can relate. Ever since I was a little kid, I was always the outsider, the weird kid, who always had to change herself to fit a certain group of people, just so that they could like me. You r right; it is so simple to say that it does not matter, but you cannot help being affected, and that is okay. I am a junior in high school now. I never went to prom. Being someone other than me ended up making me depressed. My advice: Just be yourself. I know it might not make you the most popular kid at school, but surprise yourself. We are only limited if we allow ourselves to be limited. You are more capable than you know. Wish you the best of luck:) And smile...you'll tough it out, if you believe in yourself

Age does not really matter. What matters is how you feel about each other and your levels of commitment. It is you has to ask the questions. Are you both independent already from your parents' influences? I say, if you truly love him, TAKE THAT STEP. I wish the best of luck to the two of you.
